Plated Jersey is a unique knit fabric structure created using two different yarns fed into a knitting machine simultaneously. These yarns are plated—meaning one yarn consistently appears on the face (outer layer) and the other on the back (inner layer) of the fabric. For example, a common application is using polyester on the outer layer for durability, vibrant colors, and moisture-wicking performance, while maintaining cotton on the inner layer for softness, breathability, and comfort against the skin.
